Background and Counseling Philosophy
Chris worked for Ozaukee County Department of Human Services for 24 years. There, Chris practiced marriage and family therapy; he also taught meditation to staff, clients, and persons in the community, as well as to the inmates at the County Jail. He led and co-developed “A Week of Compassion” for staff, community members, and patients. Chris has taught Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at the UW Health Center for Mindfulness for over 10 years. He has written curriculum, participated in scientific studies, and has presented on the topic of mindfulness to local and national audiences. Chris is interested in diversity, creativity and loves humor.
